Here, a plethora of cycle paths branch off into the three provinces of Skåne, Småland and Blekinge. In the northeastern part of Skåne, nature is a little wilder than in the rest of the landscape. There are deep forests, lakes to stop at for lunch and rippling streams. There are several beautiful nature reserves in the area. In Kristianstad you can make a stop at the Regional Museum and northeast of the city is Bäckaskog Castle dating from the 1200th century. Do not miss Kristianstads Vattenrike, designated a biosphere reserve by Unesco. In Hamnparken in Karlshamn in Blekinge, you can admire Axel Olsson's statue of Karl-Oskar and Kristina from Vilhelm Moberg's books about the emigrants. It was from here that they sailed to America. Bicycle map Northeast Skåne provides a detailed picture of the many cycle paths in the area.
To the north is Osby, Småland's Älmhult and to the south on the map sheet you will find Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Bromölla and Sölvesborg, among others.
